  • Windows: 10 or later, 64-bit. Administrator access for first install.
  • macOS: Monterey (12) or later. desktop-class or ARM desktop chips.
  • Linux: any modern distro with glibc 2.31+ (Ubuntu 22.04+, Fedora 35+).
  • Raspberry Pi: Pi 4 (4 GB+) or Pi 5 running Linux (see the MSBX DIY guide).
  • Android: 8.0 (Oreo) or later, 64-bit ARM.

  • Desktop wallet — Choose a non-custodial wallet that lets you verify addresses and signatures.
  • Mobile wallet — Choose a non-custodial Android wallet for monitoring and address control.
  • Lightweight wallet — Choose an established wallet that keeps keys under your control.
  • Hardware — Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard. Store your mined coins cold.

Click auto-detects your hardware tier and picks the right mode. Rough guide:

  • VIBE — phones, Raspberry Pi, low-power devices. Mostly educational.
  • COLLAB — gaming PCs, workstations, compact USB miners.
  • ASIC — ASIC miner / S21, MSBX + external ASIC. High-performance.

Safety

Ensure adequate ventilation; review thermal guidelines in our setup guide

  • Mining pushes CPUs/GPUs to sustained load. Make sure airflow around the device is unobstructed.
  • On Android, Click only mines while the device is charging and below 42 °C — no runaway heat.
  • Power: a standard ASIC miner draws ~3250 W. Check your circuit capacity before plugging in.
