Melanin helps energy and hardware operators prepare a verified configuration. A mining connection is introduced only after its secure gateway is live.
Connect
Verify your account, record compatible hardware, and configure your workers. Connection details are private — they are issued in your dashboard once access is approved.
Mine
A separately operated secure gateway must be enabled before any configured worker can mine. Solo and Collaborative paths are both available on the pool.
Save
The fee is published: 97% to the miner, 3% to the platform, written into the block’s own coinbase, so the design is non-custodial by construction. Melanin does not publish payout records.

The fee is readable in the coinbase of every block Melanin mines — a fact you can check, not a number we assert. Performance and reward claims stay off this site until the records behind them are reconciled and published. Three things have to be true first.
Advantages
You keep the hardware, the address, and the keys
Melanin is non-custodial by construction: your share is written into the block’s own coinbase transaction, so Melanin never holds private keys or funds and there is no balance to withdraw. The split is 97% miner / 3% platform, readable by anyone in the block itself rather than promised in a terms page.
The pool takes work from a phone-class device as readily as from an ASIC, and runs both solo and collaborative models — so one account covers a Raspberry Pi on a solar roof and a rack in a data centre.
Your hardware, your energy profile and your location decide the tier and the mode; the configuration is worked out with you rather than handed to you.
Surplus energy that would otherwise be exported — most often solar, but hydro, wind and curtailed industrial load equally — can be pointed at proof-of-work instead. The connection is deliberately light on bandwidth, which is what lets it hold up on intermittent and off-grid links across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe.
