What is mining?: Bitcoin mining uses computers to perform proof-of-work that helps secure the Bitcoin network. The Melanin pool is running and accepting work; access is granted by review.
What device do I need?: Phone or tablet: Melanin Click runs on Android; phone-class hardware is the low tier.
PC with GPU: GPU and USB-ASIC setups are supported through verified onboarding.
ASIC miner: dedicated rigs run on the ASIC tier, solo or collaborative.
Is it safe?: Protect your own wallet keys and check any configuration before you run it. Melanin is non-custodial by construction: your share is written into the block itself, so there is no balance here to hold. No payout or wallet service is offered on this page.
How do I start?: Request verified onboarding → share your device and goals → receive configuration availability only when a compatible service is enabled.

These are planning considerations, not installation instructions. Click is released to reviewed accounts, and connection details are issued in your dashboard once access is approved.

Windows: Windows 10 or later, 64-bit.
macOS: macOS Monterey or later.
Linux: Linux deployment is a planning topic. Configuration guidance for Linux miners comes from support and your verified dashboard.
Android: Android 8 and above, 64-bit. Click mines only while the device is charging and below 42 °C.

Desktop builds are not yet code-signed, which is why they are released to reviewed accounts rather than published openly.

Common issues

Cannot sign in?

Confirm the email address and authorization code used for verified onboarding. Contact support if the issue continues.

Waiting for a connection?

Connection details are issued in your dashboard once an operator approves your access.

Choosing hardware?

Use this page for feasibility guidance; do not apply production mining settings or performance expectations before a service is enabled.

Where are rewards or fees?

The fee is published: 97% to the miner, 3% to the platform, carried in the block’s coinbase — your wallet holds the record.

Safety first

Electrical: Use rated PSUs, no daisy-chaining, grounded outlets.
Thermal: Proper ventilation, don't enclose devices, monitor temps.
Emergency: Stop immediately if hot to touch, smells, or unstable.
