Plan Around Stranded Energy For homes and data centers
Assess whether spare power can carry Bitcoin proof-of-work at your site. The pool is live and non-custodial; Melanin provides verified onboarding and feasibility review, not a managed fleet or a payout service.
Access Status
Data centers and stranded-energy operators can request access now. Public pages describe what is live today.
- Configured onboarding
- Verify an email to open your dashboard. Connection details are private and are issued there once your access is approved.
- Alpha
- Energy access starts with a managed feasibility and pilot review; mining activation remains gated.
- Separate services
- Mining rewards, payout records, and protocol support are operated as separate services.
Assess → Design → Prepare
Assess
Review surplus-energy windows, workload constraints, and hardware with an operator. No Click installer, agent, or automated fleet deployment is available today.
Design
A future pilot could evaluate Bitcoin proof-of-work hardware, secure gateway controls, and live load control — feasibility sizes each for the site.
Prepare
Verify your email and we can record what you want to try. The fee is already published — 97% miner, 3% platform, in the coinbase. Wallet routing and reporting are operated as separate services.
The Data Center Opportunity
Data centres use a lot of power, and much of it sits idle. We help you work out whether spare power could mine instead.
Excess Energy Sources
- ⚡ Renewable intermittency (solar/wind peaks)
- ⚡ Cooling system overhead capacity
- ⚡ Grid demand response windows
- ⚡ Spare power sitting idle
Excess Compute Sources
- 💻 Idle server capacity during off-peak
- 💻 Development/staging environment downtime
- 💻 Low utilization periods
- 💻 Decommissioned hardware awaiting disposal

Data Center Planning Considerations
Existing hardware review
Assess current servers and GPUs before considering a pilot. Click is not publicly available to deploy alongside workloads.
Energy feasibility
Understand surplus-energy windows and constraints — measurement decides what a site can carry.
Compute suitability
Map hardware classes against a site’s constraints. The pool accepts standard mining hardware; Melanin does not operate or manage a fleet on your behalf.
Grid constraints
Document peak-price and grid-stress constraints for pilot design. Automated load control is not operating.
Sustainability inputs
Identify the inputs a future pilot would need for renewable attribution and efficiency reporting. No Melanin ESG report is currently produced.
Non-Custodial Design
The design avoids holding private keys or funds: 97% to the miner and 3% to the platform are written into the block’s own coinbase. No wallet-routing, payout, or on-chain accounting service is live.

Public explorer
Pool statistics are public: hashrate, shares, and uptime. Anyone can look up one address they already know; nobody can download the list, and rig names are never published.
Open the explorerNon-custodial by construction: your share is written into the block's own coinbase, 97/3 to miner and platform. Bitcoin is the public path and the pool is accepting work. Onboarding needs a verified email, private endpoints stay off public pages, and public code is reviewed before release.
